The Two Johns
While video game designers aren't rock stars, there were two who got about as close as game designers could get: John Carmack and John Romero, also known in the gaming industry as "The Two Johns."

You should make a vid on the xbox and its being american. And its huge controller. And the hard drive. And maybe even throw in some bill gates.
lol @ Romero. Best publicity shots evar!
Isn't Dangerous Dave the game with a hunter which shoots zombies, creatures etc., in a PC game?
What is he doing in a platformer?
Yeah, when the Two Johns made their first homemade demo of a side scrolling game for PC, they used the character of a Dangerous Dave and put him into Super Mario Brothers 3. They called it "Dangerous Dave in Copyright Infringement."
If you Google it there's a downloadable version.
aha.... Thanks!
Itching for a new episode, Jeremiah! :)
it's coming soon!
Could you guys do a play value on the Mr.Game and Watch games because I think the little guy deserves credit since he help devlop the basic rules and technologies used in portable games, in fact you could also talk about his future because you can still find old and new game and watch games maybe not about Mr.Game and Watch but ones still capture how they were made. Thanks if you can make!
Yeah, we have an episode coming up that's all about portable systems. And we will 100% go into the game and watch!
Donkey Kong JR. Game and Watch - absolutely the most fun and addictive handheld game (besides Tetris) ever made (try it on Game and Watch Gallery and see what I mean).
Mario Bros. Game and Watch (dual screen one with the bottle factory).. 2nd best G&W after DKjr.
YEAH!!!!
Top notch guys. I'm always excited to watch one of these. Excellent gaming history, and always very interesting. You guys obviously love what you do. Please keep it up for years and years so we can enjoy gaming history so well done from the beginning to the end.
thanks!
woot! a new episode already?
I thought episodes came once every 2 weeks?
There was a three week drought before the Women & Gaming episode. Hopefully they're getting back to the bi-weekly schedule. :)
Every two weeks is the average, i think. sometimes it's every three weeks, sometimes it's every week.
Do you guys accept ideas from the fans on upcoming episodes? Or is it like T.V. shows, where you have episodes planned out far, far in advance so you don't really need us?
Oh yeah, I'm always open to fan ideas. Though we usually plan them out 4 episodes in advance.
