I've got an AppleTV and I was looking for content in the ITMS.
I wanted to like this show. I wanted to like Cocktails on the Fly. Really, I did.
However, there's something really way too canned / overproduced about these shows that is really turning me off.
Also, with Stump the Chef, I think you need something for the Chef to compete against besides "the judges"
Idea -- Have viewers submit ingredients. Then, it's chef vs. viewer with impartial third party judges.
I was suprised by the level of production involved in Stump the Chef. I viewed my first episode on Comcast.net only tonight, and came here right away to see the rest. I didn't view the excellent production level of this show as a negative. The commentary reminds me of a cross between the old dubbed Japanese Iron Chef and MXC...which I'm sure is the exact intent :P As free and easy content, I find it enjoyable, and the episodes are just long enought to remain entertaining throughout. My opinion, of course. It seems like some of those involved with the show read these comments (based on posts in other episode threads), so perhaps your excellent suggestion of viewer submitted ingredients may find its way into the show.
