Thank you so much for the video on The Master Cleanse. I had never heard of it until I watched it on your Podcast on my Ipod and it felt right. I checked into it and read book, now I am on Day 4. I started at 264.8 lbs. and now at 253.8 lbs at 6'1". - feel really good - though it is not easy. You have to prepare mentally for it and really be ready to do it - it is not something done on a whim. Once again, thank you for the podcast, it has changed my life.
I did the cleanse once for 14 days. Everything i read said the more cayenne the better. But the cayenne made the drink taste like puke to me. So I started taking a shot of cayenne with just water before I drank my drinks. You would not even taste it and then the lemonade tasted great. And I could take way more cayenne than normal. Also, I dont know about what Gerson said about physical activity. I wakeboarded 4 times a week for the two weeks when I did it and felt great. Tons of energy. I also kicked serious a** at work those weeks, more than usual for sure. Oh and another thing, dont mix a gallon, i find it tastes much better when you just mix a glass at a time, whenever you are hungry, and take a water bottle full when you are at work or out excersizing.
I've actually tried this fast. It really was difficult at first, but the results were worth it. I now fast 3 or 4 times a year. Everything goes in and then out. However, I don't recommend doing this if you've got a work deadline or any serious physical activity coming up.
